HRW Hits San Francisco for 2016 Annual NACUA Conference

By Kelly Margeson   July 13, 2016

HRW’s Scott Roberts, John Graff, and Toby Crawford have returned from San Francisco and an active week at 2016 Annual Conference of the National Association of College and University Attorneys.

Scott delivered an interactive and informative presentation on the challenges faced by institutions in addressing allegations of sexual misconduct under Title IX, from investigation to litigation.  Scott also moderated a session reviewing recent OCR resolution agreements, focusing on lessons to improve policies, procedures, and case handling.  John, a former university police officer, had a full house for his presentation on campus law enforcement and critical security issues, providing insights on active shooter situations, relations between minority communities and law enforcement, and closing communication gaps among departments.
