Tavish M. Brown

Tavish is a business and employment litigator who is dedicated to achieving practical, timely, and effective results for his clients.

Biography

Tavish Brown is an experienced employment counselor and member of HRW’s litigation practice group.  His practice focuses on a variety of employment and business related matters including noncompete agreements, nonsolicitation agreements, protection of corporate and proprietary information, intellectual property, fiduciary obligations, shareholder disputes, wage and hour compliance, discrimination, retaliation, termination, and personnel policies.

In addition to employment matters, Tavish has significant litigation experience in state and federal courts, and in regulatory and arbitration proceedings, where he has represented clients on a range of employment and shareholder matters, including restrictive covenant litigation, trade secret litigation, business torts, close corporation shareholder disputes, and discrimination matters.

As a litigator, Tavish works diligently and persuasively to effect client goals and to proactively counsel clients to avoid future disputes.

Experience

Prior to joining Hirsch Roberts Weinstein, Tavish was a commercial litigation associate at a boutique business law firm in Manchester, New Hampshire.  In that position, Tavish focused on complex commercial litigation matters, and advised clients on employment matters, noncompetition agreements and other restrictive covenants, trade secrets, trademarks, copyrights, and other forms of intellectual property, shareholder and partner disputes, contract actions, and other commercial disputes. Tavish was also a litigation associate at one of New Hampshire’s largest full-service law firms, and has experience in the areas of construction litigation, medical malpractice, insurance defense, and probate litigation.

During law school, Tavish counseled students and startups from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology through the BU/MIT Entrepreneurship, Intellectual Property & Cyberlaw Program as a member of BU’s Technology Law Clinic, and served indigent clients before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination as a member of BU’s Employment Rights Clinic.

Tavish is a passionate music lover, with a fondness for bluegrass, americana, jazz, live and improvisational music, among other genres.   A native of the New Hampshire Seacoast, Tavish enjoys sailing, skiing, hiking, and exploring New England in his spare time.
