Caroline B. Galiatsos

Caroline counsels and advocates for clients while working to achieve their employment goals, serving as a trusted resource who meets clients where they are, whether a small start-up or an established large employer.

Biography

Caroline advises clients on a wide range of employment matters, including restrictive covenants, hiring practices, employee separations, reductions in force, worker classification, policies, leaves of absence, accommodations and pay equity.  Caroline has extensive experience conducting high-stakes internal investigations, including into harassment and discrimination allegations.  She regularly negotiates executive employment agreements, restrictive covenants and separation agreements.  Caroline also represents clients in administrative proceedings, mediations and other pre-litigation disputes.

Caroline understands that no two clients are the same and is committed to meeting each client’s individual needs in an effective and efficient manner.

Experience

Prior to joining HRW, Caroline was counsel at a large global law firm in Boston where she advised employers on a wide variety of employment matters, including hiring practices, employee separations, pay equity, restrictive covenants and compliance with employment laws.  Caroline also routinely negotiated and drafted executive employment and separation agreements, conducted workplace investigations, represented clients in employment discrimination proceedings at governmental agencies and counseled on employment-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions.

Caroline was named a Distinguished Scholar at Boston University School of Law, where she received the William L. & Lillian Berger Achievement Prize for outstanding academic and scholarly work and served as senior note development editor of the Boston University Law Review.  Prior to law school, Caroline was a U.S. Student Research Grantee through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program researching civic education in Luxembourg.
