LESP
THE HRW LABOR & EMPLOYMENT SERVICE PROGRAM
The Labor and Employment Service Program (LESP) is a relationship building and risk management program designed to help employers address workplace issues on a proactive basis, before they result in costly litigation, agency proceedings, or other disruptions. With a membership in the LESP, a client will have a team of HRW attorneys available for:
- 24/7 Advice and Counseling. The heart of the LESP is off-the-clock advice and counseling. Our attorneys are available 24/7 to discuss sensitive workplace issues, review performance evaluations and written warnings, and provide valuable feedback on a variety of employment issues.
- Management Education and Training. LESP’s members receive on-site education and training sessions from HRW’s attorneys on critical employment topics, including interviewing and hiring, sexual harassment, union awareness, EEO basics, and supervisory and leadership skills. Clients may select training topics from a comprehensive list in HRW’s Management Seminars brochure, and HRW can also customize a training session to meet a client’s particular needs.
- Annual Document Review. HRW will conduct an annual review of an employer’s key documents, including employee handbooks, personnel manuals, offer letters, performance evaluation forms, and employment applications, to ensure that they are up-to-date and in compliance with current laws and regulations.
- Health and Safety Facility Tours. HRW’s attorneys are available to guide a client through often complex OSHA regulations, and they will come to a client’s location to review its safety policies and to conduct a health and safety tour of the client’s facility.
Pricing and Discounts. LESP members pay a flat monthly fee, usually based upon the number of employees. LESP members are also eligible for a 5% discount on HRW’s regular hourly rates on other legal matters or projects. Costs associated with significant stand-alone projects, litigation, and agency proceedings are not included in the LESP retainer.
The LESP allows us to develop a comprehensive understanding of the types of issues that a particular client may face, but clients are not required to be LESP members to receive top-flight advice and counsel from HRW. We recognize that different clients have different needs, and HRW will work with a client to determine the best way to provide representation.
