KRISTY L. AVINO
Kristy Avino is an experienced litigator and counselor, representing a wide spectrum of clients in complex business and employment litigation in state and federal court. Kristy has significant experience litigating matters involving breach of contract, unfair business practices, and breach of fiduciary duty. She also handles an array of employment matters including breaches of non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, Wage Act claims, and employment discrimination cases. An accomplished advocate, Kristy has substantial courtroom experience and represents clients in all aspects of litigation including depositions, dispositive motions, and trial. She is also skilled in handling motions for injunctive relief and negotiating favorable settlement agreements at critical points of litigation.
Kristy counsels clients on employment policy matters and prepares employment agreements, non-competes, and other employment-related documents. She also advises businesses, including high-tech companies and internet start-ups, on the protection of trade secrets and intellectual property, and prepares applicable non-disclosure agreements.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining Hirsch Roberts Weinstein LLP, Kristy was an associate with a Boston law firm where she focused on business, real estate, and employment litigation. During law school, Kristy gained litigation and counseling experience as a student attorney with the Boston College Legal Assistance Bureau. A passionate educator, Kristy also has ten years of experience teaching law and law-related programs to Boston-area college and law students.
