AMANDA KELLAR KARRAS
Amanda Kellar Karras focuses her practice on employment law and complex litigation. She has handled age, race, disability, and gender discrimination cases as well as retaliation claims before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. In addition to litigation matters, Amanda provides employment law counseling to employers on a wide range of issues including: the Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, worker’s compensation, and the American with Disabilities Act. Amanda is also a member of HRW’s Data Security Team, which was created to assist companies in complying with a new and comprehensive array of data security regulations.
Prior to joining Hirsch Roberts Weinstein LLP, Amanda was an associate with Ropes & Gray LLP. While at Ropes & Gray LLP, Amanda focused on complex commercial litigation matters as well as employment counseling and litigation. Amanda has participated in all aspects of litigation and has conducted and participated in multiple depositions. Amanda gained valuable courtroom experience with the Juvenile Justice Clinic at Suffolk University Law School where she regularly made bail and arraignment arguments and argued motions before Juvenile Court Judges. Amanda also has significant immigration law experience.
